Turkey Trot 2009

The family up bright and early

Zachy practicing his running techniques with Jaxon

The Ferrari cousins... all the boys
The Turkey Trot is a family tradition that we do every year. The boys love running in the Dieselhorse Dash. This year Ty was so excited because he was in the top 5 (even though he thinks he won... but he's a big winner in our eyes especially since we had to be there at 7:45am!). It was cold but the boys didn't mind. Afterwards we celebrated a big Thanksgiving at Grandpa and Grandma Ferrari's house with everyone. We are so thankful for a wonderful family! We are so thankful for the many blessings in our lives.

So we are excited to say that we WON 1st place in the family golf tournament. It was a little challenging but we pulled it off. The rules were pretty simple but hard for us. The game was best ball, which was good for us but the offsprings had to tee off so parents were not allowed to tee off... which meant Ty had to tee off at every hole. Ty was the youngest but we have to say that he's pretty good for a 4 year old. He also made some great putts for us! Needless to say, we are the golfing family ;)

This year for the Harvest Festival, Ty was so excited to dress up Snakes Eyes from GI Joe (even though he has not seen the movie and probably won't be allowed to see it until he's 25) and Zachary was a dragon. They had so much fun. They played tons of games and Zachy even won the cake walk and brought us home so great treats! While Ty hung out with his cousins in the big boy game section, Zachy got to jump in the bounce house all night long.

They jumped on the floor trampoline, did the zipline, slid down the BIG slide, rode the horse carriage, and even were captain of their team for the pig races.

Ferrari Ravioli Weekend

Papa and Ty cutting the Raviolis
It's a tradition in the Ferrari Family to get together and make raviolis. This year Ty was old enough to try it on his own. Though he played with the cousin more than he made raviolis, he did get to experience making raviolis from beginning to the end. His favorite food is Italian (mainly sausage) but raviolis is at the top of his list. Making homemade raviolis is a 2 day process. The first day is making the dough and waiting overnight for it to rolled out the next day and stuffed with filling. It was a very long ravioli making weekend but well worth it!

Zachary is 19 months!!

We can't believe how fast time flies. It seems just like yesterday that we were blessed with Zachy's presence into this world. At 19 mths, he is talking so much.... his favorite word is "mine, Bra-her (brother), move, bye and hello." He is definitely Mr. Chatterbox. At 21 lbs., 37" this strawberry blonde, blue eyed boy is Mr. Charm. He definitely knows how to flirt and melt your heart. He loves to dance (break dancing like his older brother) and sing at the top of his lungs! He looks up to big brother and they have such a special bond. This is just the beginning of many special memories!

Happy Birthday Tyler!!

So it's official! Tyler is finally 4! He had a great birthday swim party with the family. He had a family birthday party because he opted to have his birthday at Marine World instead of having a big party with his friends. He was so excited to finally get a BIG BOY BIKE. Since he is already over 44" tall, Sports LTD recommended us getting Ty a 20" bike because the 16" bike would be too small in the next year. He was so surprised and so excited! We are so proud of our Bubby and we can't wait to make many more memories with our big boy. Happy Birthday Bubby!!

Tyler's Early Birthday Bash Weekend

Even though Tyler will not turn 4 until Sept 4th, instead of a big birthday bash, Tyler wanted to go to Marine World. We thought that this was a good idea since that meant that we didn't have to invitations, planning, cleaning etc... and it would cost the same. We told Ty he could invite one friend and of course he invited his best friend/cousin, Jonathan. We left Friday afternoon and checked into our hotel. That night we had dinner at Rubio's which the boys absolutely LOVED! The next day, we got (well Tyler got up at 7am) and we ate breakfast and walked across the street to Marine World. After a fun-filled adventure, we checked out of the hotel the next morning, headed to the Jelly Belly Factory. Wish we could display all the pictures, but here's a glimsp of his birthday bash weekend. Ty and Jonathan look out the hotel window at Marine World waiting to go.

Just some of the pictures they took with the characters.

Weekend trip to the coast

We had a great family trip to the Northern Coast, Eureka to be exact. Ty and Zachy absolutely loved the beach. They wrestled, threw sand at each other, tried to go in the water (it was absolutley freezing) and had sand everywhere. We were not prepared for the cold weather since it is August but the boys didn't care. Nathan had been to the coast before but this was mine and the boys first time. It's definitely not the last time we'll visit.

Gold Hills Junior Golf Camp

Tyler loved junior golf camp this year at Gold Hills. He was even more excited to play with his new set of Tiger Woods Nike irons and driver. He did so awesome. The program is from 4-8 yrs old but they let Tyler play anyway, especially since he's been playing since he was 16 mths old. He absolutely LOVES golf. He was such a trooper and loved being with all the kiddos. This is just the beginning!

Brotherly Love

Tyler and Zachary are not only brothers but best friends. They love to golf together, wrestle, throw water ballons, and dance! Tyler is such a great big brother and is always protecting Zachy (when he's not secretly trying to trip him). Zachy looks up to big brother and does whatever Ty does. Zachy is the only one year old that I know of that loves star wars, legos, and "hot wheels." Things that big brothers teach their little brothers.

It's Summer... oops I mean Spring.

It was 100 degrees yesterday in Redding so after running errans all day, we decided to make the most of it and play in the water outside in the backyard. The boys had so much FUN! Zachy loved the hose and would not put it down and Tyler was was trying to kill all the "bugs" with his Bubble Gun!
